Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) massage therapy is a type of bodywork that relieves compression in the bones of the head, sacrum, and spinal column. It uses gentle pressure on the head, neck, and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression and, as a result, can relieve pain and many conditions. It helps with the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system which enhances the body’s ability to heal.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage therapy helps treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of muscles and connective tissues. It helps break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and will reduce tension in muscles and tissues. It can help promote an increase in blood flow to the area which can reduce inflammation and pain.

Pre/Post Natal

Prenatal massage therapy plays an important role in feeling good and staying healthy for expecting mothers. Regular massage treatments help relieve swelling in the lower legs and feet, reduce pressure in the joints, and discomfort in your lower back.
Postnatal massage therapy continues to care for your body after your baby arrives. This relaxing massage increases circulation, reduces swelling, makes you feel calm and relaxed during a time of added physical stress and healing.

Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome(TMJS)

This massage addresses the joints of the jaw and the muscles that are effected from the motion of grinding and clenching. This can contribute to problems with earaches, facial pain, sleeping and headaches. The relationship between tension headaches and jaw muscle tension are often overlooked. The muscle tension can create knots at the base of the skull and can travel into your neck and shoulders. These treatments concentrate on releasing a build up of tension in the muscles, pressure in the joints, and restrictions in the fascia promoting healthy joint function and reduction of pain.

Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment

Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment (NISA) works to stretch, free, and soften the body’s fascial layers in order to restore function to muscles and joints as the layers of fascia regain their elasticity. Fascia is a type of fibrous connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs and joints. Providing this type of massage therapy helps in the relief of pain, and improve movement and breathing.
